Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności sp. z o.o. won the programme QUALITY OF THE YEAR 2014 in the category PRODUCT.
The winning product was the Post Kiosk KN-1800. Apart from that, KZŁ received another Quality of the Year BRONZE for its repeated participation in the programme.
The Post Kiosk can be an incorporated or a free-standing device, for self-service sending of ordinary and registered letters and parcels. It can feature additional functionalities required by the customers within the technical constraints and using the available technologies. Using the intuitive interface that consists of a touch screen and voice output, the user enters the data necessary for the letter or the parcel to be sent properly and for the payment.
The device verifies the weight of the parcel automatically and determines the price of the service in accordance with the tariff of fees. Then, the user pays the fee choosing one of the available options: coins and banknotes, or contact or contactless payment cards. If the user pays cash, the machine will give the rest in coins and banknotes. If these actions are performed correctly, the user will receive adhesive address labels and a revenue stamp. After scanning codes on the labels, all the operations carried out are registered and confirmed with a proof of payment and if necessary a proof of sending.
After the verification, the shipment is automatically transferred into the chamber from which shipments are periodically collected by the postal operator.
