On March 17th an ITS seminar took place in Grudziądz; one of its organizers was Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności.
On March 17th, 2016, the Association ITS Polska and the Municipal Transport Company from Grudziądz invited the most prominent providers of solutions for Intelligent Transportation Systems, representatives of the public sector and academics to Hotel RAD in Grudziądz. The purpose was to discuss the latest trends in the development of ITS based on the deployed ITS for tramways in Grudziądz and with particular focus on tramway transport.
During the seminar called “The expansion of the tramway network in Poland in connection with intelligent transport systems exemplified by the investment in Grudziądz”, the invited speakers presented opportunities for expansion of the tramway network in Poland, in conjunction with ITS, on-board and fleet management solution as well as problems associated with the development and implementation of ITS systems.
Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności, as a strategic partner of the seminar and at the same time provider of ITS solutions for the tramway network in Grudziądz, presented the system implementation phases from the design to the final implementation. The seminar ended with a trip on a tram that was specifically scheduled for that purpose. It took the participants of the seminar from the hotel to the depot of the Municipal Transport Company in Grudziądz. During the trip, the passengers had first-hand experience of the onboard solutions adopted in the vehicle, and at the destination they had the opportunity to visit the Traffic Management Centre, equipped and integrated by our company.
