It is ergonomic, easy to operate and essential when you are driving a hybrid or electric car. And it will be produced in Bydgoszcz. In a hall of Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze, Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności presented its newest product – a charging station for electric vehicles.
Electricity instead of petrol or diesel. ‘Commonly used electric cars are no longer a mad scientist’s vision, but a near future,’ say automotive experts. Such vehicles are rare on Polish roads but not in the west. ‘We respond to market needs. They appeared and we have to be ready to meet them. The railway is an institution that wants to go forward and wants to respond to the challenges of the modern world successfully,’ says Tomasz Miszczuk, CEO at PKP Informatyka.
With such a station you will be able to charge an e-car or an e-bike. This easy-to-use device is provided with a touch screen, through which the vehicle owner selects an amount of electricity and pays by card. The charging posts from Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności in Bydgoszcz can be used anywhere in the city where there is access to the electricity network. ‘This charging post offers two ways of charging: with AC, which means the so-called moderate charging time, and DC,’ explains Krzysztof Magierowski, CEO at KZŁ.
The vehicle charging station was showed for the first time in a hall of Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze nr 2 in Bydgoszcz. This is no coincidence, because both companies hope to cooperate closely. ‘We want to be seen as those who see the need of the local market in Bydgoszcz and who want to cooperate – hence our offer’ explains Leszek Walczak, CEO of WZL nr 2.
The premiere of the e-vehicle charging station was the beginning of the 165 anniversary of Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności.
We would like to thank BMW Dynamic Motors for assistance and commitment in the preparation of the event.
